Features:
Perpetual Recording
Every ClaimSafe digital surveillance system records multiple shifts with multiple cameras. As long as no incidents occur that require review, the "loop" programming then continues to record perpetually over the oldest data. And, because ClaimSafe is a digital system, there is never any deterioration of image quality over time, no matter how many times it is played.
High Resolution
ClaimSafe® III High-resolution imaging allows "big screen" review with an optional 36 inch monitor. The picture quality is retained, even on large screens. No company in the industry offers a higher resolution.
Surveillance Cameras
These cameras record at high resolution, full view, full motion (30 frames per second) quality. Each ClaimSafe® camera is protected by rugged housings and G.E. Lexan lens shields. Designed to collect images even in very low light, they are the ideal answer to transit needs. A variety of cameras are available, including some with IR illumination, for quality video even in very dark conditions. ClaimSafe® III systems can record up to 8 cameras simultaneously, with additional cameras available through switching. Cameras can be placed in interior or exterior locations on the vehicle.
Overlap Recording
The ClaimSafe wide view camera lenses are placed in strategic locations to provide overlapping views of transit exits and interiors. This often allows you to view more than one angle of an incident for clearer interpretations.
Typical four-camera arrangement for full, overlapping imaging in a common transit coach. ClaimSafe full-view, overlapping surveillance often provides multiple recording angles of an incident in question.
Flexible Camera Arrangements
Needs vary, so we can set the cameras any way you specify to help accomplish your goals. Even the type of camera can vary according to your needs. Our high-resolution color cameras can be inside or outside of the vehicle. Our external camera enclosures withstand all kinds of weather, and stand up to pressure wash systems, as well. Very low/no-light cameras that use IR illuminators are also available. ClaimSafe® III can record up to 8 cameras simultaneously, and additional switched cameras can be added.
RS 232 Port
This interface provides simple access via a laptop computer for possible maintenance testing or ClaimSafe® III software updates.
ClaimSafe® III System black box
The ClaimSafe® III system is operator independent, with overrides. It is engineered for heavy-duty motion and impact shock resistance. The system begins recording whenever transit power comes on, and does a delayed shutdown for a programmed number of minutes after vehicle power is turned off. The only driver action required is to inform someone that an incident occurred.
Large Removable Hard Drives
Easily removable hard drives make changing out simple and convenient. Each drive holds multiple shifts of high-resolution, full-motion digital data for "no questions," film-quality detail. Handy additional ClaimSafe® III exchange drives can be purchased separately.
Hard drives up to 250 GB are available as an option. The 120 gigabyte hard drive normally provided by TVSS in our ClaimSafe® III DVR units is adequate for most customers. If you want additional record time, the frame rate and compression ratio can be modified, but we strongly recommend maintaining the high picture quality and full-motion video, because they offer so many advantages.
Adaptibility
The ClaimSafe® III system is adaptable for any kind of vehicle or mobile situation. Transit buses, subway and light rail cars, police cars, armored cars, and trucks can all benefit from the added security provided by this mobile digital video security system. The compact size (5 X 10 X 13) and light weight (12.8 lbs.) make it easy to install in a wide variety of locations. Contact TVSS today to schedule a demonstration.
Recorded with the views captured by the cameras are such data as the company name, vehicle number, date and time. Other information, specified by the customer (such as brakes, headlights, turn signals, speed, etc.), can be added. On play back, this information is shown with the camera views, for accurate documentation.
An optional motion detector is available. With this feature, the system can be set to start up on detecting any motion in the set field. This is an ideal tool in any place where break-ins or vandalism might be a problem.
When reviewing the recorded video, you can specify the date and time, and the system will skip directly to that place on the hard drive. There is no need to spend time watching, or even fast forwarding, long stretches of the video to find the right spot.
Clear Audio
Since ClaimSafe® records at the full-motion rate, our audio is always perfectly synchronized with the video. Filtering of vehicle noise in the process of recording means that conversations can be heard clearly. In fact, it is frequently easier to understand conversations on our recorded video than when actually riding on a bus. Two audio channels are available with a four-camera configuration and four channels with an eight-camera configuration.
Event Tagging
Protect incidents from being overwritten by use of an event switch, or optional automatic event triggers. The area of the hard drive containing the incident can be protected for a programmed amount of time from up to 10 min. prior to the trigger to up to 30 min. after the trigger. If routine operation is at less than 30 frames per sec. and/or less than maximum resolution the system can be programmed to increase the frame rate and/or resolution upon trigger activation. Overwrite protection can be programmed to remain in place for a set number of days, or until specifically removed.
Flexible Playback and Archiving
Choose the cameras you want to view. Adjust the picture size on the screen and use image enhancement features to provide the best picture. View from one frame at a time (freeze frame) or from very slow video speeds to super fast speeds. Jump directly to the date and time or to the tagged event that you want to view. Archive video clips to the built-in archive drive in the playback unit, to a CD, to a DVD, to a VHS tape, or to a hard drive on your PC.
High Reliability
Engineered from the ground up for use on transit vehicles, ClaimSafe® units can withstand not only the shock and vibration experienced on a wide variety of vehicles, but all aspects of the environment. Temperature controlled, they handle both hot and cold environments. Our special, cold-weather option can handle temperatures down to 30oF. Airflow is filtered to protect against all varieties of contaminants. Even exhaust and diesel fumes are filtered out of the air drawn into the ClaimSafe® DVR, keeping the inside of the unit very clean. The result is what we believe to be the most reliable mobile DVR on the market today.
Battery Backup
The internal battery backup in ClaimSafe® systems enables the system to capture the immediate aftermath of an incident, even if it caused all vehicle power to the system to be cut off. This also allows the system to do a controlled shut down, thus preserving data that could be lost or damaged with a sudden loss of power.
Easy Programming
Program ClaimSafe® III units with a convenient IR remote. There is no need to carry a laptop computer from vehicle to vehicle to change settings on the video systems.
Options:
Motion Detection Feature
Some users may find the system turn on by motion detection a valuable feature. Instead of starting when the vehicle is started or a switch activated, any motion sensed within the set field, such as the door opening, can cause the system to boot up and start recording. If you want to catch and protect against vandalism and theft from parked vehicles, this is a great asset. With a system that boots and starts recording in less than 10 sec., it is easy to do.
GPS Input
For vehicles equipped with global positioning systems, the GPS data can be recorded and displayed by ClaimSafe® III.
Auxiliary Inputs
A variety of inputs can be recorded and displayed on playback. Examples include brakes, headlight, turn signals, doors, and speed. Customers can specify others. A code or icon will be displayed when the recording is played to indicate the status of all selected items at that time. The standard on-screen display of company, vehicle number, date, and time will still be present. Up to 6 auxiliary inputs can be used.
Automatic Event Triggers
Excessive motion, loss of power, an obscured camera, a certain G force, and other items that might be specified by the customer can be used as event triggers. If the driver cant activate the switch or doesnt know there is a need to, you still have the data protected. If, for example, a passenger sticks a wad of gum on the camera to obscure it while committing some act of vandalism, which is not discovered until 2 weeks later, the data has been protected and you have a great picture of them putting the gum on the camera.
Cold Weather Package
If your vehicles are left outside in subzero weather, you may want this extra protection. The standard ClaimSafe© III will keep the hard drive at operating temperature when the mercury drops down to 10oF. With our cold-weather enhancement, ClaimSafe© III will start recording right away, even when the vehicle has been parked in -30 oF.
